ROOTS

An Educational Immersive Experience for Key Stage 3, inspired by the lack of multidisciplinary collaboration within the current curriculum. Five pods, each based on a famous artist’s studio and containing a dead plant wall which needs reviving. Groups of six students rotate through the pods completing themed tasks that give them letters to an anagram of one of the five requirements for keeping a plant alive: Space, Nutrients, Air, Water and Light. They enter the word into a keypad causing the plants to come back to life and unlock the door to the in-between spaces inspired by the skill of play. Each one is modelled on children’s toys encouraging the students to think about using items the in a more creative way.
