Technique used at the beginning of their GCSE project to help bring them away from the photorealism style, and allow the students to play with media as well as thinking about how to start layering their ideas. This allowed them to break free from the idea that each piece of work has to be a complete final piece and show them that each of their pieces starts to become a learning experience. Working in a group allows the students to start working out how peer evaluation can be valuable moving foward.
